UJ E-Learning Session / Formal Letter Workshop (Information Management) December 20, 2022

A Merry Christmas from Piczka and I ! 💕

Dear all!

1. Before the X-Mas break, I wanted to share with you some writing tips regarding formal letters. Below, you'll found the basic layout of a formal letter. Please stick to this standard format when completing the assignment!

Tip:

- Under the recipient's address, you may wish to add Re: (regarding). That way, it'll be easier for whomever is reading you letter to forward it appropriately.

- Also, feel free to write "To Whom It May Concern," as opposed to "Dear Sir/Madame," (sounds a bit archaic, right?) :-)

- ALWAYS be polite and respectful.

2. Remember...be sure to introduce yourself - they probably don't know who the hell you are- AS WELL AS state the reason why you are writing in the first place.

3. Here are some phrases which might be of use to you... (Letters of Request / Complaint
